Analogue Project - Studio Lighting
Lighting plays a big part in photography because the lighting is critical in an image for example if you are a fashion photographer then you can use multiple different lighting setting you can use such as: Ring lighting, soft lighting, Rembrandt lighting, Short lighting, Butterfly/paramount lighting. snoot lighting, beauty dish, wafer lighting, honeycomb lighting.
Ring lighting:

The ring light is used in fashion photography because
it shows few shadows and it gives a circular shape in the eye of the model.
Soft Box

Soft lighting casts shadows and gives soft edges, soft light is when the light is large compared to the subject/object.
Snoot lighting

Snoot lighting allows the photographer to direct
where the light goes.
The snoot can isolate an object whilst using the flash.

Beauty dish

The beauty dish gives the model good lighting on their face as it gives the appearance that the model has soft skin.
wafer lighting

The wafer lights give a soft lighting on the model`s skin.
Short lighting makes the models face look skinnier by 1/3.
Rembrandt lighting is when the lighting creates a triangle on the models cheekbone.
Butterfly lighting is when the light is directly in front of the model which creates a shadow underneath the models nose.
The lights are measured using a light meter, the lights must be the same at the front and back for example I have the front and back on F11 so the model and background get the correct exposure.
