Analogue Project- Depth of field

Shallow depth of field is when the subject is in focus and the background is out of focus this photograph would have been taken with a big aperture.

Deep depth of field is when everything within the frame is in focus this photograph would have had a small aperture.

Depth of field can be controlled by aperture as the bigger the aperture the shallower the depth of field will be but if the aperture is small then the depth of field will be wider.

My own examples of a shallow depth of field.
