Digital Project- Types of files.
The smaller the file the lower the quality the picture will be.

The image quality can be changed through the settings e.g, JPEG fine, JPEG normal, JPEG basic.
JPEG is best used for sharing images online.
JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group
When you shoot on JPEG you can get more images on your SD card.

The RAW setting provides a higher quality image.
The RAW file gives a better quality when printed on a larger scale e.g. printed on to a canvas.
It is called RAW as it is not yet processed and are not ready to be printed or edited.
If a photograph is taken on a mix of RAW and JPEG file then it will be a good quality for when the photograph is either shared online or printed it also saves you time on editing.
